Team Coaching
The focus of team coaching is to help teams and their leaders:
- Develop and sustain positive individual and team behaviors
- Create empowering and effective team operating structures
- Build successful and long lasting interpersonal relationships
- Acquire outstanding communication and conflict resolution skills

Team coaching consists of three distinct parts:
Assessment
We use assessment diagnostics and questionnaires to get a snapshot of the status quo. Who are the individuals making up this team—what are their communication styles and personalities? And then also what is the personality of the team as a whole? What are its characteristics?
Strategy, Plans, and Goals
Once we understand the makeup of team members, and the team as a whole, we work together to create a roadmap for the team. This includes defining roles and responsibilities for team members, as well as doing brainstorming to harness creativity, imagination , and innovation. Ultimately, we create mutually-embraced goals and a plan for achieving them.
Facilitation and Feedback
Once the roadmap is clear, the coaching continues in the real-word setting. Using actual issues and scenarios concerning the team, I observe the team in action (most often in a meeting setting) and provide facilitation for issue resolution. Most importantly, I demonstrate how to give and receive feedback, which is critical for successful team interaction and achievement. The feedback is on point and directly related to the work at hand. This immediate feedback gives individuals and teams the collaborative change skills that empower them to monitor their own progress toward "best practices," and continual learning.
One-on-one coaching sessions with team members helps reinforce new skills and provides additional opportunities for dialogue, brainstorming, goal setting, and feedback. With team coaching, individuals and teams successfully recreate and refine their own organizational structures and working relationships in response to the constantly changing business climate. This leads to increased alignment with company goals.
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed. It is the only thing that ever has."
-- Margaret Mead
